There’s No Place Like Home

Wizard of Oz with Judy Garland was one of my all-time favorite movies growing up.
When I was little (this will date me) Wizard of Oz came on once a year as a big event.
Yes, this was before DVD’s, renting movies, HBO, cable, and streaming. Oh, my!
I loved how Dorothy traveled to another world. It looked so fun and those she met where
Very lovable and endearing. Okay not all of them. The flying monkeys scared me for sure.
Obviously, the story is a cautionary tale of how it seems like going on adventures is far more
interesting than staying home but we shouldn’t take for granted where we are from.
This is why I think this idea came to me. We are all staying home more and it can be a bit
Stifling. I love to go, go, go but I am grateful for home. It’s where I can be myself,
love on my dogs and kitties, collect eggs from my chickens, and create art.
I can’t think of a better time for me.
