Born and raised in the heart of Mississippi, this award-winning artist weaves her passion into every brushstroke, painting primarily in acrylic both within the quiet of her studio and beneath open skies. From a young age, she has followed a creative path, guided by a desire to breathe life into the everyday—turning the mundane into moments of beauty and wonder.
Her life and artistic journey carried her far from Mississippi, spanning years in two different states and travels across several countries. With each new culture, language, and tradition she encountered, her world expanded, and her creativity blossomed in ways she never imagined.
Though painting has always been her first love, she pursued a degree in Commercial Design and Advertising, launching a dynamic career as a graphic designer. Her journey has taken her through a wide range of industries—from the fast-paced world of retail advertising to the meaningful missions of nonprofit work, the imaginative realm of book publishing, and the precision of manufacturing and print shops. Each chapter added to her creative toolbox, ultimately opening doors to pursue her own artistic path through personal projects, commissioned pieces, large-scale murals, and most recently, the whimsical world of children’s book illustration.
When she’s not designing and illustrating, she channels her creativity into acrylic painting on canvas, participating in numerous art competitions with the Mississippi Artists Guild and plein air events. Her love of travel fuels her passion for painting on-site, allowing her to experience each moment more deeply by capturing it permanently on canvas.
She is actively involved with several art organizations, including the Pastel Society of Mississippi and the Vicksburg Art Association. She has served as the art show chairman for the Mississippi Artists Guild and has recently been elected as its director for the 2025-2026 term.
Her artistic achievements include winning 1st place in the acrylic category at the 2025 Vicksburg Art Association Show and receiving an honorable mention, along with 1st place in the acrylic category at the 2025 Mississippi Artists Guild Juried Show. She also earned 1st place in the acrylic category at the 2024 Mississippi Artists Guild Juried Show, 4th place in the amateur division of the 2024 Pacesetter LeFleur’s Bluff Plein Air Painting Competition, and Best Category of Fountains at the 2023 Pacesetter Renaissance Plein Air Painting Competition. Additionally, she was accepted into this years 55th Annual River Road Show Exhibition/Competition sponsored by the Art Guild of Louisiana, as well as in 2024 New Orleans Arts Association Juried Show and has received Mississippi Arts Commission Mini-grants for 2022, 2023, 2024, and 2025.
